Sargam

Born mute, Hema lives with her invalid father, stepmother and stepsister. She is abused by her stepmother, unable to say a word. When the stepmother attempts to sell her in the guise of getting her married to a much older man, Hema runs away. A musician helps her with achieving her goal of becoming a dancer.
